Back in the realm of normality today. But there are always reminders, little kinks in the haze, that point to the madness all around.

Example: I offer to do a coffee run and end up with an order comprising 3x flat whites and 1 American high school girl... Code for a coffee so sickly sweet that, I am reliably informed by one of the baristas at our local 'bucks (a native of said formal colony), only high school girls can actually drink it.
