A lazyish day though two bracing walks have been taken. The colour of the lichen is amazing and the rocks very slippery, the air fresh and mild, though conditions a bit choppy for proper skimming!

Peter the sculptor arrived to erect our garden sculpture - exchanged for himself having done his website. Unfortunately he hadn't measured the depth of the pond before making the base for the sculpture and it more or less disappeared under the water. He went out in the kayak that we found washed up and brought home - we now know why it was abandoned, it immediately sank!! He's gone back to weld more bits on and is promising to come back at 6am tomorrow to put it up!! He's is off to Sri Lank on Friday and wants to get it done by then.Son number 2 reckons he might do a time lapse video - I have my doubts whether this will work - a) it will still be dark, b) he arose at midday today.

We're off to see the latest Sherlock Holmes movie tonight so not much chance for browsing.
