On Eagles' Wings
On the 21st December 1988, Pan Am Flight 103, a scheduled transatlantic flight from London Heathrow Airport to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, was destroyed by a bomb and fell in to the town of Lockerbie, Scotland.
All 243 passengers, 16 crew members and eleven people in Lockerbie, were killed.
My job as a TV Cameraman took me to Lockerbie the next day, to film the aftermath of the disaster.
Related filming assignments followed as the years went by; to Malta, Libya, the USA and the Lockerbie Trial in the Netherlands.
This book, On Eagles' Wings, a remembrance of all who died in the disaster, was given to me by the father of one of the american victims.
