One Down!

So sad!Lisey had been looking forward so much to seeing the stage production of Legally Blonde ever since Leo sent us the video of the Broadway version of the show some time ago.We thought it would be a lovely start to the holiday season for her.But it wasn't to be.She went down with Nora Virus last night.
We were taking a friend of hers along to allow them to spend some time catching up, so her disappointment was even greater.However, her friends mum stepped in at the last minute to use the ticket and that meant Lisey's disappointment was my gain because I got to chat to Steph's mum ,whom I haven't seen for some time.
The production was excellent, with a young, energetic cast but Mathew Kelly was outstanding in his role.I never realised what an amazing actor he is, until I saw him in the London production of 'Of Mice and Men'His portrayal of the character will be one that will stay with me for a very long time -such a talent as a serious actor.
Going to phone the theatre tomorrow to see if there is any chance of a ticket cancellation before Lisey leaves for New York.Her disappointment was so real, especially when we came home and told her they used two rescue dogs in the show.
