Red light district

Every once in a while I discover a coffee shop that is very very special. Esselon in Amherst, Massachusetts (near the University of MA, Amherst) is one of those.

The light in the porch is red, and I found myself sitting there today for several hours today. I had a meeting with a friend in the morning, and drank cup after cup of chamomile tea. Then, when an afternoon appointment was cancelled, I decided to call another friend, who teaches at UMass, and she met me here, and I drank more tea.

The tin ceiling is gorgeous and was "imported" from Chicago.
