Old and New

Its a metaphor for the upcoming new year.... the new Banksia and old one fading away. Just as this year draws to a close the new one approaches fresh and full of life.

Last working day of the year and the longest day of the year.... hmmm is there something in that?

Anyway grabbed the bike went for a spin around the streets and bush.... unfortunately realised battery was really really low so only had ability to a take a few photos before it died. This banksia caught my attention. They are such an interesting tree and flower. The birds love them, but no birds around this afternoon, that would have been a nice photo opportunity to get a bird having some dinner.
