Against a dark background
I wasn't going to blip the ponds today, it was dull when I went down there and it was a choice between the sun coming up at 9am on the shortest day and an interesting mural which I'll have to show you another day.
But then the sun came out and lit up the trees against a dark sky, giving me pond blip no.35. All that's missing is a rainbow.
The big pond's still frozen (doesn't look it, till you see that stick on the water not in it), the small one's mostly ice free. Goldeneye is still there. 11C when I took this at midday so the ice won't last long if this keeps up.
The mural I mentioned reminded me to update you - I mentioned David Robertson, Dundee minister who was critically ill in ICU - well, he's made an extraordinary recovery, still has to gain a lot of strength but he's home with none of the long-term damage that was feared - and praising God. (The mural is on a building next to his church, that's why it reminded me - now jt knows what I'm talking about and has my permission to blip it before I get back there, if he wants - whoever does it, it needs to be blipped.)
