Sunny Peterhead
It was unseasonably warm in Peterhead today and the start of lengthening days was celebrated with a grand sunset. This was the view across Peterhead Bay towards the end of the afternoon.
The boats, or are they big enough to be ships?, are supply vessels for the off-shore oil industry. The large building with the high chimney is the gas-fired Peterhead power station. The small pimple on the horizon, just right of centre, is a pressurized dome containing one of the RAF's radar systems.
