One Happy Day
If you catch a falling leaf, my mum used to say, it means one happy day. Betsy and Al spent an hour in the park today with our friends Holly and Flynn, trying to catch enough for the whole Christmas holidays. It's harder than it looks.
We had a great time in the park, it was sunny and warm, like Easter rather than Christmas. The children are all so excited, and so were Sue and I. We had a hilarious lunch here where the children - particularly Flynn and Betsy - were just so funny. We laughed the entire time.
Al, Holly and Flynn played and played after lunch, somehow without even making any mess. We could hear thumps and shrieks, and I've no idea what they were up to. Betsy sat with Sue and I - busy with paper, pens, scissors and Sellotape as usual - as we drank tea and chatted. A really lovely day.
It's real close!
