The Christingle is Made of an Orange.

Lovely, warm, fuzzy, atmospheric and meaningful Christingle service today. The Children's society do a great job and this is such a fitting way to raise money for them. I LOVES it I does. Funny thing though - husband was brought up going to an evangelical church, but I was brought up going to an Anglican church (and therefore Christingle for me was alwats part of the Christmas 'furnature'). Up until last year, husband had never ever heard of Christingle, and when I started going on about how we had to get to the Christingle service, he presumed I was talking about some renowned preacher that he hadn't heard of, going by the name of Chris Dingle. Heh he he :o)

The title is a reference to a song I only learned last year. We sang it in the service and it has brought me endless joy. What a random song! "The Christingle is made of an orange" (to the tune of 'give me joy in my heart keep me praising') - is it really? You sure that's not a banana?! I love it.
