Other People's Christmas Cards

Too busy. Three visits to the funeral director, two to the registrar, many phone calls, organising finances, a trip to the local hotel to arrange a reception and worst of all a sit down with brother Bill, dad, and the minister to talk about mum and the service. We are all long-lapsed Church of Scotland and mum was decidedly anti church and I felt like a total fraud, was tired and numb, and couldn't think of much to say. It was pretty awful and I'll need to be in touch with the minister again soon with a bit more input.

The blip is of a Christmas card intended for someone else. Every year since we moved here seventeen years ago we've received two - one for the previous occupants, one for people who live somewhere else entirely. We did forward them for a couple of years but in the end couldn't be @rsed any more, so they go on the shelf with all the rest. They do have nice taste in cards though, whoever they are ;)
