Somewhere out there!

I'm enjoying this holiday so much but can't really say that I'm doing much. So relaxed today. Auntie Mary left at 2pm. But I had a house full of kids (only 5 today) and they played lovely. It meant that I could natter to my auntie before she had to go home. I did a throw lots of food on the table and help yourself dinner. The kids love doing it and never get complaints as they just eat what they like.

John did lots of popping out to the shops . I start Christmas sorting in September and buy, wrap and sent 65+ presents, write 150 cards and deliver them. John writes 2 cards for colleagues at work and buys a present for me! Last week I warned him that I'd used all the sticky tape (can't spell cellotape, selotape, sellatape,...?). So tonight when he says (at the last minute), "Where's the tape?" My reply of, I've already told you there is none, went down well! I had everything else he needed.

Me and the kids went out for tea with Nickey and her two. Had a lovely meal and natter. Then dropped them off and went to get my blip. Not good in the pitch black but experimented with settings, iso numbers, shutter speeds and manual setting (scary). This was the only one that could be blipped. Pretty pants but if it wasn't for blip then I wouldn't be even trying so I guess I'm at the bottom of a steep learning curve.

Christmas Eve tomorrow. My kids are so excited, it's lovely. Got some special guests tomorrow so I'm just waiting for the oven to ping and the buns will be ready. Might need to taste one before bed!
