Tree in a shop window (I'm saving blipping my own tree for a lazy day in January :) )

Food shopping frenzy today at the supermarket, lack of the correct cranberry sauce (OH the meal will be RUINED! ... well, not really, I'm sure it will be fine... I'm sure) an overabundance of food bought (that'll teach me to go shopping when hungry) and a battle between me, the trolley and the lack of friction on the supermarket floor. I know for every force there's and equal and opposite force, but nowhere is this more evident when trying to steer an overburdenned trolley on a slippery supermarket floor without the proper footwear (aka rubber soles, glue and the odd crampon). Corners were even more fun, and I sweear the slight slope that is in some aisles is just a joke on the behalf of bored employees. However, I managed to get the solitary trolley without a wonky wheel otherwise several displays would have been splattered over the floor in a rather ungainly fashion with me falling over like a penguin - so I'll count my blessings.

Would be fun to see a penguin trying to shop with a trolley though. The waddle, the compulsion to fall over at the least provocation - however they'd have had practise walking on slippery ground so I think it would be 50/50 between me and the penguin as to who could steer it better.

They'd win though as they'd probably have David Attenborough narrating their shopping choices. I'd try and sneak a bit of benny hill in there though as I'm convinced that any nature program about penguins could only be enhanced by having that particular soundtrack playing.

Meandering back to what I meant to say - Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all have a wonderful time - whether it be with family or friends. See you after Christmas :)
