After Kathmandu it is strange to be somewhere cold in the daytime with cloudy skies and icy rain. The strangest thing is how quiet Cardiff is in comparison. In Kathmandu drivers use their horns and jostle for position on the roads. In Cardiff people drive quietly, neatly in their traffic lanes.
