only a couple of days

Evidently many people are planning on sealing themselves into their homes this evening, emerging only in the new year. Fortunately I only had to visit a few places, none of which are anyone's first choice for sourcing their stockpiles of emergency winter food, in case it snows heavily tonight. Despite it being beyond Saturday-busy it still, for me, had a pleasant during-daylight-in-winter-on-a-weekday feel, which I occasionally use up daysworths of holiday to experience. I found most of what I was looking for but even if I hadn't it wouldn't have brought about the end if the world.
