Tonight's fare...

Avocado with a little lemon juice, smoked Snowy River trout, mango with ginger, lemon and coriander leaves, salad with all the things you can see.
Preceded by gin and tonic and accompanied by Mr D's really excellent home made apple mead (around 14%), made with Tasmanian Leatherwood honey, pesticide-free Logan Brae (local orchard) apple juice and champagne yeast.
(This is where having an obsessive around comes in handy - when he produces a really good batch, he can do it again because every detail is written down. You'd think he was a librarian...)
No fat except for the avo and a skerrick in the fish.
Suitable for vegetarians (without the fish) and pescetarians (with).
This was precisely the right amount for two - and a refreshing start to several days of what may ultimately prove to be culinary unfortunateness.
