A Warm, White Christmas

Today we visited "Hell's Valley" to see the "Snow Monkeys." I took hundreds of pictures but this one shows the whole hot spring without the crowds which are there almost continuously. The hardest thing about shooting around a hot spring is the constant steam rising from it. You have to wait for just the right change in the breeze or it's like you're in a thick fog.
The water (no, humans aren't allowed to go in with the monkeys!) was comfortably warm, felt something like 38 degrees Celsius to the touch, and towards the end some of the monkeys started to fall completely asleep with their heads on the side of the bath.
