Swan

Been chucking it down all day here in Renfrew, so my dedication to blipping outdoors up to Christmas has been tested to the limits. The Christmas lights weren't even on in the town to cheer up the gloomy dark sky and give me a blip.

I took a run down to the Renfrew Ferry and eventually found an obliging swan to pose for the camera. As can be seen it was still raining so it was very much a case of blip and run!

Son #1 in the city meeting up with uni friends before we have our family Christmas dinner this evening. It will be 38 year ago exactly tonight that Mrs B and I met at a Youth Fellowship disco (or a discotheque as it was known then) in Eaglesham. Our coming together is referred to each Christmas Eve and in some ways it is a bit of an anniversary. The swan is probably an appropriate blip for the occasion as Mrs B is also very graceful and elegant. We have an affinity for swans as, like us, they mate for life.

Hope all blippers have a great Christmas Eve and that Santa is good to them when he arrives!
