eve drinks

went for a christmas eve drink tonight at the local.

i couldn't help but watch the pub community celebrating together. maybe it was just an outsider's view but there seemed to be genuine, no-frills, loving community of people who enjoyed being together. it made me think about the large charismatic church i was at yesterday where it seemed that clever branding simply masked a less genuine community. honestly, if i was looking for love and acceptance, i'm not sure the church would be the first place i'd turn. i might have to blog about it sometime.

but not now.

because it's flipping christmas eve!

thank goodness for Jesus. how much we need the light of the world.
