2:00 A.M.

"For sure we'll be there before last year."

Well, last year it was 1:30 a.m. when they arrived...and this year it was 2:00 a.m. Next year, I'm not sure I'll be up if the trend continues, but we had fun waiting for the carolers to arrive, singing Christmas songs ourselves and preparing snacks. I felt a little sorry for this crew as they had started out on their journey 7 hours earlier. They were obviously tired but in good spirits when they reached the dorm. They had one more house to visit after us, so we joined them and got back home around 3:00 a.m.

Caroling here, at least from what I have experienced, is a lot more than singing songs from house to house. The carolers plan out their route and spend time saying a prayer of blessings with the family after singing. The house/store prepares some fruit or snacks for the carolers too. It is quite the event. :)
