Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Christmas Eve

I have always loved Christmas Eve - it's when my parents celebrated Christmas, so we have continued the tradition.. This year my daughter-in-law invited us to their house - what a treat that was!!! I did make the "meatballs" and the potatoes but that's all. :-)
We have been sitting at home on the couch for awhile trying to recover from the noise of these 4 darling very excited grandchildren and looking at my photos from the evening - wanted to put at least several very fun ones together but my photoshop is acting up and won't let me do it. Very annoying.
Therefore had to pick one - so here we all are, recorded.
We have Swedish meatballs - only now they are soy- my Mom's recipe which taste pretty much the same. (just trouble to make) and potatoes with onions anchovies and cream,, beets, green beans, squash, salad, Limpa bread, and lots of good stuff first (herring, shrimp, cheeses, olives, salmon) -it's a semi-Swedish feast. Those kids eat noodles. (!) Family gifts tonight , but Santa will come before morning.....
We were happy to be all together - it is really fun to have the kids around but my they are noisy! Fiona is right in there with the big kids, and still happy with wrapping paper. Boppa took the 3 older kids out to the movie Tin Tin in the day to give Mom time to prepare for the evening - it was another beautiful day.
Hope everyone who celebrates this holiday has a wonderful day! I wish for peace and joy for the world.
