After yesterday's cloud we woke up to bright blue skies and hot hot sun this morning. After breakfast (champagne again for AKW) we jumped in a cab and headed to Corcovado to see Rio's most famous landmark.

It really is amazing. The views are stunning and the statue itself is very ... Hmmm I think the best word to describe it is; Regal. Fantastic piece of engineering also.

We took the cog train up there and thanks to the lonely planet guide's advice sat on the right hand side of the train which gave us stunning (and sometimes scary) views over Rio as we climbed Corcovado.

After all of our exertions an afternoon sat by the pool is in order!
