Christmas Day
The girls both basically woke up at 6am this morning.
Jeff went downstairs first to get the camera ready to film Elizabeth's reaction.
She walked into the room and went straight for her turtle that we got for her. We switched off the lights and watched the stars that it projected onto the ceiling. We're hoping it might help at bedtimes. But she loved it anyway and played with it for ages before noticing anything else.
She opened each present individually and playwith with each for a long time before moving onto anything else. And she was happy to hand out presents to the rest of us, she didn't want to open them all.
She played with all of her big things equally during the day: her turtle, her train set, her keyboard and her hobby horse. Plus she had a go at the 6, 8 and 10 piece jigsaws. And she watched one of her DVDs twice through. She was one very happy little girl for most of the day (no nap, meant she got a bit grumpy late afternoon).
Rebecca got some lovely things too, including some new clothes and soft toys. She slept a lot today and then also got a bit grumpy late afternoon.
It was a really lovely Christmas. I'm glad we were at home for it.
