To tree or not to tree

Merry Christmas!!

My first Christmas away from home and my first Christmas wearing a bikini for the majority of the day.

Our shipment (including Christmas decorations) arrived on Thursday so it felt only right to decorate a Christmas tree last night... except we didn't have one. So, here's our first ever surfboard Christmas tree. It hasn't dropped any needles at all so no need for pesky hoovering. The only downside was that we went surfing at 9 this morning and had to dismantle the tree!

Odd but fun having Christmas in the sun. Morning surf at bondi; Santa hats on the beach; gift opening (sooooo excited as M's gift to me will hopefully improve my photography!!); a drive to Neilsen Park to join our neighbours for a while, before preparing the world's largest amount of food for two people. M did an amazing job of herb marinated prawns, Thai squid salad and steak. All on the barbie of course. Bonzer.

Much love to friends and family back home. And a little credit to Mama Wanderlust's roast beef and Yorkshire, which even the power of Skype can't share all the way to Oz.
