The remains of the day

Wonderful start to Christmas Day here in Vegas. The sky was blue, the sun warming up and we were able to Skype our families back home. I do love technology!

We then had a mad rush doing the final food preparation before our three guests arrived, but we did make time to enjoy Bucks Fizz (predominately bubbly I fear) while we opened our stocking and tree presents. I had no idea that Santa realised I was over here and was overwhelmed!...... maybe it was the Bucks Fizz!

The meal was exquisite, although we have now taken an essential pudding break and unfortunatly my son has had to go off to work as he is on the shift which starts at 6pm. I think the rest of us might take Kymba out for a walk on the golf course before we settle in for mince pies et al and then maybe some games to keep us happily awake until he returns.

My blip today is obviously one of the gorgeous baubles on the tree. The tree itself now stands free of its burden of gifts and looks relaxed, dressed in its christmas finery with a hand quilted tree skirt now covering its feet.
