Missed Christmas

Well, I missed it! R joined me!

We have been lying, groaning, cringing, yelping, sleeping, sweating, sh@!)**ting, (trying to) drinking (only clear liquids!) since the 22nd!

The doctor said it was Colitis. When R said his poo turned green, we explored the Internet and we diagnosed salmonella poisening. A more worthy description of what we were going through!

We did eat samosas, chicken and cheese&corn. It was hot! I did eat the most! (that'll teach me!) Yes, there was a fever, joint pains, severe cramps, nausea, diarrhea ...

My other diagnoses was pregnancy and I was already in labour. 72 hour with no baby in sight!

We worst was smelling the wonderful aromas wafting in from the kitchen and knowing you can't have any. (Well, not really!)

I have not been downstairs since Thursday. Hubby brought us our water and medicines. A gave us news of what they were going to be eating, what they ate, how it tasted! (Was that payback for the first week of his braces? Which are fine now! )

We only had the tv and iPad for entertainment. The others stayed away in case it was a tummy bug. (I don't blame them, who wants to be sick for Christmas?) so we played some games, in between the cramps and sleeps.

From reading your blips, you all had a wonderful time!

On the bright side, I did loose some weight for Christmas. Not a bad present. I am feeling better, so now to attack the left- overs ... If there stil are any!

Oh, by the way, warning, don't go to those medical websites. I now have diagnosed a multitude of other ailments to be treated next year!
