Christmas Lights

....made of coloured glass!

This pin was bought in 1943 at the Marsten Department Store in downtown San Diego.
Given to me by Betty Nystrom because I admired it every Christmas when she wore it. I guess she decided I was worthy to be entrusted with it's care.
I wear it starting on Thanksgiving Day (because Santa Claus is in the Macy's Parade, signaling the start of the Christmas Season) until Jan 6th (the Twelfth Day of Christmas - Orthodox Christmas).
I recently decided I could also wear it in July after Independence Day since so many organizations have their Christmas in July fund-raising bazaars.
