Fancy Dress Christmas

HAPPY CHRISTMAS BLIPLAND!

Katie treated me to a reasonably good night last night. She allowed me over 5hours sleep in the same stretch. We were up about 6, not too bad. 6.30 we went down to Granny and Gdad to wake them up before presents. She was a bit confused by being in their bedroom!

She did so well with the present opening, taking time over each one. She got the handmade tutu early on in the proceedings and wore it immediately over her Christmas onesie. She also put on a chef's hat and apron, wellies, a hat, a beautiful coat and a craft apron in turn! It was the tutu, frilly knickers and hair bows that got chosen in the end, later added to with the Wiggles tshirt pictured.

We all went to church where she was a very good girl, chattering happily and enjoying what was going on - she even went up to the front (with Mummy) to show her new baby doll and her tutu. She got a box of chocolate during the talk too. Towards the end of the talk, she announced that she needed to go to the beach, and not very quietly either. So after church we had a short walk with all the dog walkers of the town.

She opened more presents when we got home and played very happily with a new tea set and a wooden cookie making set. She spent lots of time playing with a dolls crib, with beautiful handmade bedding (by Granny), and she instantly put on the Wiggles tshirt. She got a digital camera from G&Gdad and at several points, she carefully lined up her friends and then stood back, said cheese and took a photo!

Come Christmas dinner, she sat and ate soup and roll, had bits of most things of the main course, and pulled three crackers. She even tried and enjoyed Christmas pudding. Once. The second time it was rejected onto the floor, from the mouth.

We opened more presents after dinner before we all packed up to go to family for our annual festive gathering. Lots more presents, fun, games and food. She had so much fun playing with one of her cousins, swapping baby doll toys and equipment for a long time. She loved her new tool set and twirled a lot in her beautiful dress. Come bed time, her Grandad took her up and settled her to sleep, again a very happy end to a special day.
