calm

after the over-excitement of Christmas (littlest Bling has now earned the nickname "Yo-Yo" for obvious reasons) I find myself home alone for a few days as they've all headed uphill to go skiing/snowboarding. No doubt I'll start missing them soon enough but right now I'm enjoying the calm and quiet. And the leftovers.

This time last year if was -18°C. This year we only have a small layer of ice on the pond and it feels very mild.
