Blue Heaven

To think that 365 days ago, I was dejectedly making the Albion world champions on a friend's Playstation, while lamenting their real-life fortunes. What a difference a year can make!

As always, it's been a rollercoaster; from Di Matteo's final dismal days in charge, through the appointment of Roy Hodgson and the sudden explosion of good form in the spring that gave us an 11th place finish, double victories over the Villa, and then the usual autumn wobbles recently, there's never a dull moment. But the last ten days have seen us win at Ewood Park for the first time in twenty years, at St James's Park for the first time in thirty, and today earn a well-deserved point against the most expensively-assembled side in the history of English football.

2011 has been the best year in my lifetime for following the Baggies. I can only hope they don't go and arse it up in 2012. Boing boing!
