New cushions for new sofa

Nearly bought myself a DSLR today, but too big a decision to cope with just now. Canon or Nikon? New model 1000D or old model 500D? Or keep saving for 600D? DSLR or iPhone?

So instead got some cushions for the kids' sofa.
