Well, the best 'christmas' I've had for a long time.

The C word is in parentheses as I don't actually celebrate the C-hristian nor C-ommercial festivities. I have picked and chosen amongst the various traditions for the ones I like (lights in the dark days; green foliage and berries, cos that's all there is; giving presents, cos I love my kids and they deserve pressies; communal singing, more about that in a moment).

One of the activities I didn't take a photo of today (it was just too crowded) was the Sheffield carol singing at Bolsterstone, a brass band played carols, and we all sang our hearts out, even the ones we didn't know he he! one of the favourites was called 'The flower... something or other' it was impossible to fit the words to the tune causing great hilarity all round.
