Dictionaries

I'm at my mother's in Porto Alegre until this Friday. These two shelves (and the one above) house books I used throughout my school years. It's hard to imagine looking something up in a book these days, with google and online dictionaries making it all so quick and instant. I think it's likely that regular books will continue to exist for a while, for the pleasure of reading/smelling/touching what some call "the real thing". But paper dictionaries... The electronic version is so much easier to use, that I don't think they stand a chance. I love the books in this photo, though. They helped me so much, it's hard to think of throwing them away.
