Last wave

It's amazing how quickly life catches up to you and catches you off guard. You know, those moments that feel like a knife inserting into you and you are left catching your breath at the stab of pain.
Those moments when the past, present, and future all catch up to you and remind you of all the times you've failed, succeeded and were just plain indifferent.
We have quotes and phrases that change our worldview and out vision of how the world spins and goes around. Our view changes as we experience the nuances of one another and choose to either love and accept or reject and hate. How we see one another changes our view of everything... really.
I know, I know I've been pondering happily ever after and that 'magic' that we seek after. I feel like as humans that we seek after and hope foe those moments when our childhood innocence comes back, our hearts pound within our chest. Moments in those nuances of seeing one another that we find our hearts un-vieled, un-jaded, unmasked and well.. whole.
I feel like I am these surfers trying to catch that one last wave, trying to get that one last hug. I think happily ever after today is the idea of trying to find all the parts of myself that are jaded. I find I don't have any answers, just a simple desire for wholeness and change.
