White heron Hutt River Wellington

Another glorious day in Wellington, on our way back from swimming at Days Bay (well the others went swimming, I only paddled!), and I had to do "Stop the car" as I saw the white heron standing in the estuary near the bridge!

The only white heron breeding colony is at Whataroa, but they do spread around NZ when it isn't breeding season. First time I've seen one here though.
