Katie slept through again last night. Mummy was awake quite a few times in the night of course. She was up by 5 though. We had a leisurely bath and a long breakfast - she's been on an eating mission all day - before G & Gdad woke.
There was Katie's main present from my parents still to open - they bought her a Thomas the Tank Engine train set with a battery powered Thomas. She also got some little Thomas and friends trains that she can push round the track. She spent a long time playing with it, the favourite being the tunnel.
Despite all this, we were out the house by 945. We had a really lovely morning on the North Bay. We went to Peasholm Park and she walked the whole of it, feeding each batch of ducks and geese that we met. She was very excited by the squirrel and really wanted to touch the one in the photo. She was less excited when a cheeky goose stole the chocolate biscuit from her hand!
We then walked to the Open Air Theatre and fed some more geese and ducks, and waved to the miniature train. She then asked for a cuddle. And promptly fell asleep in my arms, it was adorable. We all then went for a coffee while she slept before coming to Grandad's for lunch.
We're heading out this afternoon to either a nearby petting farm/farm shop or a garden centre and pet shop, depending on what's open. Katie is still dancing about singing Christmas carols every five minutes - I dont think she's going to understand the 12 days thing!
