Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

RESPECT

To one of our favourite haunts for a walk in the soft mist and drizzle. The house is the oldest inhabited manor house in Scotland, having been in the same family since the 12th century. It is surrounded by lovely parkland and woods. Access is free at present - sadly the estate is for sale. Can anyone spare me £8 million? Hardly anyone goes there, and I have no desire to change that, which is why I am not naming it!

One of my earliest blips was of a wall eating tree. I thought this was another one, but on closer inspection, I realised it is growing into a natural rock outcrop. I respect how trees quietly get on with their own business, however harsh their surroundings.
