Ducks
Lovely day up in Leeds today. When we set out for our walk this afternoon at about 2 o'clock, it was pure blue skies, no clouds at all. The sun was streaming down, I wished I had brought my sunnies!
There's a beautiful footpath walk around where our friends live. A very long lake (in this picture), several farms full of pigs, chickens and mainly horses, huge hills (you can see for miles)... Its beautiful.
I took so many photographs on the walk, but I decided to use this one because I love ducks, and the water was very clear in the lake. I also quite like the reflection, that you can only just about see, of the duck in the foreground.
The weirdest thing happened on the walk! There was a woman taking some photographs of an early blooming flower, which I wanted to capture too. We got talking, she said she was on holiday in Leeds from Devon (where the majority of my family live) and I said I lived in Guernsey. She says "I lived in Guernsey for 20 years! Where abouts are you?"
Turns out she used to be my neighbour! Strange the little coincidences in life!
