Castle Schönebeck, Bremen

Unfortunately, the history of this castle has not been documented very well. It might have been built somewhen during the 17th century, probably by the Junker Franz Wilken von Schönebeck. Or so it seems.

Today the moated castle is a museum of local history worth visiting. The redbrick building is a typical excample of North German architecture, the actual exhebition is beautifully maintained and the countryside offers many interesting walks. Take your time :-)
