Boxing Day

We all went to my mum's house today (Rochdale). We had a Christmas dinner and my sister and my 3 nieces arrived. The quiet, calm atmosphere was trashed! Wonderful! Those of you who have read my journal before will know that Rebecca has autism and Emily Fragile X syndrome. The little one, Sophie, is 2 and apart from not speaking much, she seems (fingers crossed) to be ok. Was lovely to see them again. Had a few manic hours!

I have allergies and asthma so despite the high dosage of antihistamine, I still struggled. Mum has cats and smokes. By the time we left I was taking my inhaler every 10 minutes and had gone through a full box of tissues. Possibly a cold on top of this made it worse! But by the time we got home I was done in!

The kids have been brilliant the last two days. They have been on their best behaviour, no arguing or falling out. It has been lovely.
