Waiting on the rain
It was a typical dreary winter day today, drove out at lunch to a couple new parks to see what I might find. Tried to blip some seagulls on a duck pond (they were obviously confused), but didn't really like what I had...I was experimenting with different settings on the new camera. There were a couple ducks off in the distance that I shot just so I could get them home and identify them...very exciting, not ones I've noticed before. I thought they might be goldeneyes, but they were a male and female ring-necked duck. They were very skittish when I tried to go near them, and I gave up as it started pouring about 5 minutes after I got to the pond. If it's not raining tomorrow I may go back and see if I can get a good blip of them tomorrow. As I drove back to work, found several trees full of crows seemingly waiting out the rain.
