McKenzie River Forest

Today as we returned to Bend, we stopped to stretch our legs at a campground on the McKenzie River. It was mild--my woolen sweater kept me toasty warm. I had seen many trees with ferns growing out of the moss, and decided that a blip of this phenomenon would be really fun! Little did I know I would not only find moss and ferns, but mushrooms as well! (I think the bottom mushroom looks like a Russian dancer from the Disney movie Fantasia!!)
