Christmas Day

Josh up just a little too bright and early - 2.15am, a quick check to make sure that Santa had left something in his stocking and he went back to sleep. Awake again at 6.30am - persuaded him to stay in his room and play with his stocking gifts for a while before heading downstairs. Absolutely love that despite getting a PSP and a few electronic games the first thing he did was use his new coloured pens to draw a picture for Coco and later could be found lying on his bedroom floor building a new Lego toy and listening to a story CD - could have been my 8 year old Christmas 34 years ago.
Both children were in good form all day, genuinely grateful and sometimes totally surprised by their gifts so they spent the day on a high and were fantastically behaved making it a magical Christmas. Usual panics about the meal but think everyone enjoyed it, wonderful company all day, game of monopoly, fell asleep on the sofa watching TV (nothing to do with food and drink, putting it down to being woken at 2.15am!) so all in all a wonderful Christmas!
