Fox Poo
To make sense of this photo, you really need to start here.
Whoa. This is getting seriously odd. Here we are poking around in fox poo. We know its fox poo because (1) its got bits of bone in it (hence its come from a carnivore) and (2) it doesn't look like badger poo. And apart from owls, there aren't any other carnivores in the woods. (Its not an owl pellet either - its poo).
And, anyway, as we have now learned, badgers don't poo indiscriminately. They always do No. 2s in a dedicated latrine, well away from their sett. This wasn't found in a badger latrine. We've seen a badger latrine and we know what one looks like. This wasn't found in a latrine, it was in a dead tree.
So, its fox poo.
I could go on ......
