Sparks!

Work on the fireplace has resumed today. Here Merv is cutting some angle iron that he's going to use to support the metal plate that will cover the chimney opening.

The RAC man came and got my car started which I couldn't start last Friday when I was going to the funeral. I didn't feel well enough over Christmas to worry about it! We gave it a run out to the supermarket to pick up a few extra things once he'd gone as we've got neighbours coming for a drink and nibbles this evening.


Alternative Blip for today - as we sat eating our lunch in the conservatory we watched this grey squirrel trying to get his. Their ability to scale smooth metal poles is simple amazing!
