Dwahing, shall we?.?

We ascribe many human emotions to animals; I wonder if it's possible to do the same to vegetation. These trees for instance are having a prolonged, "Brief Encounter," moment, or even a "Downton Abbey" happy ending. The Oak is gradually absorbing the smoother tree, which may be an Ash. The Oak seems to be raising a bough as if to say, shall I lead? I have walked past these trees so many times but it was just this morning that it occurred to me they have been growing together for about 30-40 years yet have never been introduced.

Ho hum, just another thought in my cartoon mind.
