A Walk in the Woods
Lunchtime. Gonk's log. The 200th blip of this strange period of time. What to do...something spectacular? No - same as usual, wander round looking lost in this place, wishing I was somewhere else. I did meet some interesting characters though...
Numbered like the buttons on your mobile phone for easy reference:
1 - Mr Squirrel fattening himself up for the winter that isn't going to arrive.
2 - Chopped down trees that I used to speak to at lunchtime - they are no more.
3 - Somebody called Joe(!) thought it'd be nice to pretend the bridge was his.
4 - Old man struggles to think why he's here too and how the hill is so steep.
5 - Mr Chaffinch chirps cheerily not realising where he is.
6 - Rubbish - the lovely locals love this place.
7 - The roots of the trees I used to talk to.
8 - A crow flying off to find his next MacDonalds leftovers.
9 - Mrs Long Tailed Tit makes another appearance.
Nature vs 'development'. Nature is holding on strong, and it will always survive our futile attempts to destroy it... thankfully.
Number 10 should have been a wee tiny weasel I also saw on the other side of the river, but I didn't have my 1000mm lens with me.
Sorry for the compilation, no clear blips so a little story it is.
