Raise a glass to Hitch

Rather belatedly, as he died on the 15th, a blip tribute to the great essayist Christopher Hitchens. It is now a commonplace to say that you didn't always agree with him, but liked the way he said it, and this is also true for me. But I admired his conviction to steer a course he thought to be true, to always fight intellectual dogma, and most importantly, his love for words. Anyone wanting to construct an argument in text should read Hitchens. He probably would have preferred a glass of whisky, but I only had beer, so farewell the Hitch.
