Northern Exposure

Day 2 of our adventures above the arctic circle, and the second session of tobogganing. This is the big one, and apparently not at all scary for a 5 year old daughter.

Today the girls got to meet Father Christmas - yes the real one! Mrs Claus introduced us to his grotto with a magical touch. I've never seen them so quiet. All answers were monosyllabic and softly spoken. FC even has to assure them that he wouldn't bite!

I was running low on space on the memory card, so switched to a new, smaller capacity one before the main grotto event. With a combination of HD video and some more photos in the big man's house, the card was quickly filled. I switched back to the original before leaving and giving his silken white gloved hand a firm shake.

I took a fabulous shot of the two girls in their ski suits with Father Christmas in his grotto and had I not lost the card, you'd be looking at that instead of this poor alternative. All of the footage of the MAIN EVENT is missing!!! Arrrggghhh!!!

Needless to say I've searched in every spot possible, at least ten times without success. There's nothing else for it, we'll just have to go back again some day!!
