Woolley Edge

A ridge of hard sandstone between Barnsley and Wakefield. It is coal measure sandstone meaning the sandstone contains seams of coal. The road runs along the ridge. Right on the top you can see for miles in both directions. The image is looking west towards the Pennines. In the other direction you can see across to Selby and Drax power station.
